2004 saw the completion of a pilot Seawater Greenhouse near Muscat, Oman. In collaboration with Sultan Qaboos University, this project provided the opportunity to showcase the potential of the technology in extreme desert environments. It showed the ability of the greenhouse to reclaim salt-infected land without relying on groundwater resources and by hydrating the landscape via the Oasis Effect.
